A CG Reading on Every Club in the Set
We run each iron across the balance fixture individually, not just the model as a whole, since CG placement can drift slightly club to club even within one manufacturer's line. That reading gets compared against your delivered loft and attack angle from the launch monitor.
A set with a clean, predictable CG progression tends to produce evenly stepped trajectories. A set that jumps around — often the case when mixing a blended set across two different model lines — usually shows up as an unpredictable flight window somewhere in the middle irons.
What Actually Changes in an Iron Fitting
Cavity Depth
Deeper cavity backs pull CG lower and further back for forgiveness; shallower blade-style cavities raise CG for more workability and feedback.
Lie Angle
An upright or flat lie angle changes strike direction independent of CG, but the two interact once you're looking at consistent gapping across a set.
Length & Swingweight
A quarter-inch length change shifts feel and delivered loft together; we recheck swingweight after any adjustment so it never drifts unnoticed.
Shaft Frequency Step
Consistent CPM stepping from long iron to short iron keeps feel even, which matters as much as the CG progression itself.
Set Makeup
